B7 Board |

The senior civil servants from each B7 island are forming the B7 board. Their expertise, commitment and experience is used in every activity or project the B7 organisation is involved. The B7 Board acts on behalf of the Steering Committee and its chairperson between their meetings. The B7 Board is responsible preparing the draft for common working plan for organisation. This draft will be presented, refined and approved by Annual Conference. The board helps to secure the co-financing of specific projects through national or international bodies (i.e. the Nordic Council, EU, UN, etc) in close co-operation with the working groups. The members of the group are responsible for setting up one-to-one compatibility between the B7 co-operation activities and local stategies securing them the co-financing the projects commonly planned. The B7 Board assisting the working groups to develop their plans and working schedules according to the development needs of B7 islands. They provide support to working group chairpersons as required and the situation demands. The B7 Board also creates an advisory capacity for the working groups by justifing the plans and projects prepared. Supervising the co-operation projects, the B7 Board helps project teams to set up proper organisation and links for successful project implementation. |
